The Space In Between

Influenced by the dystopian writing of Orwell, Kafka and Aldous Huxley, The Space In Between grew from a growing unease with the world around me. We are surrounded by information, division and uncertainty, yet seem to understand less and less of what is happening, or how much control we have over it.

Rather than illustrating these ideas directly, I explore them through light, colour and abstraction. The photographs move between clarity and obscurity, where things are never quite as straightforward as they first appear.

The work reflects a feeling I find increasingly difficult to ignore. That uncomfortable space between what we know and what remains beyond our understanding.
