In Suspensïon

These black and white abstractions came from a need for stillness. Working without colour removes a layer of distraction and allows me to concentrate on light, shadow, texture and form.

Photography gives me a reason to slow down and look more closely. The process allows me to spend time with a subject without needing to immediately understand or explain what I am seeing.

I am interested in what happens when an image is reduced to its simplest elements, and how much can remain when colour and context are removed.
